Superboys of Malegaon is a film based on the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the small town of Malegaon. The townspeople seek a much-needed escape from the grind of daily life in Bollywood cinema. Nasir draws inspiration to make a film for the people of Malegaon from the people of Malegaon. He forms a ragtag group of friends to bring his vision to life, bringing new life to the town. The film is a poignant yet uplifting look at filmmaking and friendship, and what happens when these two worlds collide.
